iPhone Multitasking is on the way!

iPhone was one of the revolutionary product Apple came out with in the recent year, this phone device have so many applications and other great features that surprised every one. However, this awesome device was lacking one of the most important function people want, which is the multitasking function. With all the new competitor phones such as Nexus One and Motorola Droid on the market with this function available, most people predict eventually iPhone will have to fix this problem and implement this function. Good news is Appleinsider have said the new iPhone 4.0 software which should arrive around summer of this year will include this multitasking support, there is not much information on how Apple will implement this technology because this could indirectly effect the battery life and resource consumption on the iPhone. For now, we can only wait until the 4.0 software is released and see.

I'm guessing it will be like WP7S pseudo-multitasking. Put apps into an "intelligent suspend" state when they're not on-screen, start closing oldest open tasks when memory runs below a certain amount. It's really the only logical solution I've seen for current processors & RAM on smartphones. Apple's not going to sacrifice their performance and stability to turn the iPhone into a buggy multi-tasker ala WM6. (fyi- before you flame, I use a WM6 phone daily. Wife & kids have iPhones.)
