Tired of those greasy finger prints on your iPhone? Scared of scratching the screen of your iPhone? Put on a screen protector and you won't have to worry about those problems again. This is how to install a screen protector on your iPhone. First when you open up your screen protector package, you should find the screen protector, a cleaning cloth, and some type of tool to work out bubbles (sometimes the tool is not included).
- Create a clean work area free of dust and pet hair. If you have animals, put them away too.
- Clean your hands
- Take your cleaning cloth and clean your IPhone screen. You can use it dry but if you have some stubborn marks, try using an iPhone designated spray or water, plus your cloth.
- Start to peel back the plastic sheet on your screen protector. Be careful not to touch the static cling/sticky side. Many screen protectors have tabs you can hold.
IMPORTANT: Some screen protectors have a top layer and bottom layer, please read them carefully to know which one is the top and which is the bottom. Usually the tabs will be numbered.
- Align the hole to the speaker and pay attention to the edges to ensure a straight fit.
- Work slowly and use your squeegee to keep a tension on the screen protector as you move it down your screen. This helps keep air bubbles out. You can also pull the area on and off if you see a bubble and it will reapply without bubbles.
- Align the home button and carefully let go of the screen protector and it will cling. Use squeegee to work out any bubbles. Once that's done jut wipe off any marks with the cleaning cloth and you are done!
Extra Tips:
- Work slowly
- Be meticulous when you are applying the screen protector, it will pay off in the end
- There is always a chance to START OVER. If something goes wrong, just take it off and restart the process.
- Be aware of hair, dust, lint, and/or fingerprints. If you don't catch them they will become flaws on your display.
- Again, WORK SLOWLY, its better to be slow and careful, than to rush and end up unhappy with the end result.
