Everyone has been talking about the iPad and if it will be successful or not. After 8 days of the release of the iPad, Chitika Labs posted that the iPad had sold over 500,000 units. The method to determine how many iPads are there is by counting cookies of new iPads that access the internet. This leads to only counting the iPads that decide to use the internet, as there would be some that dont use the internet at all. Now 15 days after the iPads release, it has sold for over a million units.  Based on these numbers it looks like the iPad is a huge hit and could sell for even more once the 3G version comes out. Great news for Apple and it looks like despite some people having issues with their iPad internet connection, people are still satisfied with the purchase of their new device.
