Apparently there has been report about Verizon testing the compatibility with the iPad on Verizon's CDMA network. What about the exclusive contract with AT&T? Well it seems that the contract is ending and the iPad will be going to multiple carriers. There is also news about Verizon working on a 4G model of the iPad as well! iPad on Verizon? Has that time finally come? We'll see when the next update comes up. Verizon LTE is pretty much ready, all the tests have been done, and according to Verizon they will have 4G coverage for everyone by the end of 2010. So I'm guessing by Christmas, they will announce the 4G iPad and hopefully it will be on the Verizon network!

This is probably one of the coolest stand/dock for the iPad. It's called the eReader Recliner and its pretty much a reclining chair for the iPad or even a Kindle or any other eReader. You can either lay it flat, where it will be laying on the curved back so that you can tilt the iPad towards or away from you. Or you have the option to pull out the kick stand and prop it up for easy reading or display. The only thing I DON'T like about this accessory is that it looks like it is not too portable.

Don't get me wrong, I still like this accessory but I would only want to use it at home or at the office. I don't want to lug a big piece of plastic everywhere I go. Unfortunately you can't find this on HandHelditems.com but you can find it online for about $30.

This guy mounts the iPad right onto the steering wheel (where the horn is) and says that this is a lot safer than using your iPhone to text or read. Like anyone reads books and newspapers while they drive right? What if he crashes? his airbags will shoot the iPad right into his chest. People come up with the craziest things.

AT&T has just announced (in NY) that they will be launching their HSPA+ network and it will cover over 250 million people depending on their software roll out. That just basically means that when it does come out, you might not get it right away. Depending on your phone and it's manufacturer, the software update will go out according to whenever the manufacturer decides to distribute it. If you're wondering what HSPA+ is, well first thing I will let you know is that this is NOT 4G. It is a next generation 3G network that will run at about double the speed of 3G, approximately 7.2Mbps. Which is pretty fast in my book. T-Mobile has also announced their HSPA+ network which will cover roughly 185 million people by the end of the year. Their network is actually VERY VERY fast, I even had to use the word twice. But in the long run IF T-Mobile beats out the other providers with the fastest 3G network, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T are all working on their 4G networks, which will smoke ALL of the 3G speeds regardless of how good and fast they are. So I guess we get something before 4G comes through.

Well there has been some complaints about the iPad Wi-Fi models having Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Low signals, bad connectivity, or no connectivity plagued some of the iPad. When these people complained to Apple, Apple just said that they have never seen this problem before and there was nothing to do about it. So the problem persisted and now Apple comes out and says that yes, there is a problem and it would require an update to fix that problem. So until then people experiencing the connectivity issues will have to deal with it until the software update. But some people have been reporting a "fix." Apparently if you were to turn the brightness levels all the way up and turn off auto brightness, it would fix the problem. Sounds stupid right? but Apple did confirm it, so this is the temporary fix for now.

So you picked up one of those Apple Magic Mice and you have an iPad as well. Use them together! I'm sure you have probably looked into it and couldn't find a way to do so. Well here is a video clip of someone who got their Magic Mouse to work with their iPad. You will need to Jailbreak your iPad first and download a utility called, BT Stack. This lets you connect your Magic Mouse via BlueTooth, and voila! Simple as that, but the hard part is Jailbreaking your iPad. Please don't try it yourself if you don't know what you are doing, the last thing you want is a "bricked" iPad sitting around your house.

HURRY HURRY! The time is running out! I'm talking to those guys out there who are trying to flip their iPad to those countries that don't have it yet. The iPad will be going out to the countries that didn't have the luxury of having the April 5th release date. This includes Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. This is what Apple had to say:

iPad Available in Nine More Countries on May 28

Pre-Orders Begin May 10

CUPERTINO, Calif., May 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Apple® today announced that iPad™ will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on Friday, May 28. Customers can pre-order all iPad models from Apple's online store in all nine countries beginning on Monday, May 10. In the US, Apple has already sold over one million iPads and customers have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store, as well as over 1.5 million ebooks from the new iBookstore.

iPad allows users to connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. Users can browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad's revolutionary Multi-Touchâ„¢ user interface. iPad is 0.5 inches thin and weighs just 1.5 pounds-thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook-and delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.*

The App Store on iPad lets you wirelessly browse, buy and download new apps from the world's largest app store. iPad includes 12 new innovative apps designed especially for iPad and will run almost all of the more than 200,000 apps on the App Store, including apps already purchased for your iPhone® or iPod touch®. Developers have created more than 5,000 exciting new apps designed for iPad that take advantage of its Multi-Touch interface, large screen and high-quality graphics.

Pricing & Availability

Apple plans to release iPad in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore in July. Apple will announce availability, local pricing and pre-order plans for these nine additional countries at a later date.

*Battery life depends on device settings, usage and other factors. Actual results vary.

Apple ignited the personal computer revolution with the Apple II, then reinvented the personal computer with the Macintosh. Apple continues to lead the industry with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system, and iLife, iWork and professional applications. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes online store, has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, and has recently introduced its magical iPad which is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices.
