Free Twitter Android App

Since the release of the Android OS, there has been a lot of apps that were developed over the period of time it has been out. But there was never a official Twitter app for the android platform. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of Twitter apps out there but until now the official Twitter app has been missing. Unfortunately, this app only works with Android 2.1 OS update. So for you guys that are waiting on the 2.1 update still, sorry you might just have to tweet on those other apps for now.

Mozilla Firefox App for Android

Mozille finally released the Firefox browser today but there have already been reports of this new browser to be un-optimized, sluggish, and very buggy. In addition , this app is large at 31.53 MBÃ‚Â not including other Firefox add ons like Flash enable to view YouTube. This is a terrible way to start off a release. However it's safe to assume that Mozilla will continue working on their app to optimize and make it more user friendly. I'm sure after a couple of months this app will be well polished and become a great alternative browser. Despite already having a tested beta out for quite some time, users would expect better quality in this browser, however this is just the beginning and there will always be issues doing a first release of anything.

Twitter App for Android Announced

In one of my earlier posts, I stated that Twitter bought another app called Tweetie.Ã‚Â But now it has been officially announced that Twitter will be releasing their official Android app. Although there are still a lot of third party apps available for your twittering services on the Android, this would be the official release from Twitter itself.Ã‚Â Unfortunately not a lot of information has been released about some of the Android features but I assume with their purchase of Tweetie, they'll incorporate their ideas into it to create a user friendly version.

Google Goggles apps improved with Plink purchase

December Google published one of its own applications in the Android Market, this application Google Goggles was a cool app that can identify anything with a snap of a picture, you can snap a picture of a place, barcode, text or almost anything and the Goggles app will tell you what youÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re looking at. Today Google has purchased Plink, which is a team behind PlinkArt, this is an application that can take a picture of an art piece and it will tell you detail information of the painting. This will definitely be put into the Goggles application, which is incredible. Now you can just go anywhere and snap a picture to find out everything.

Google pulling Android games from South Korea

Google has had a problem with the South Korea local law which requires all of the games be reviewed by the South Korea Gaming Board. That is pretty impossible to do with thousands of Android games rolling in the market every day. However, the South Korea Gaming Board has insisted on reviewing each game individually. Google with no choice decides to remove Android games from the Android Market. This is sort of ironic because two of their biggest companies, Samsung and LG had already fully endorsed Android and to disable a function like this will definitely hurt their business, especially when gaming is such a big deal in Korea.

Android App Can Read Your Thoughts!

There are a lot of fancy apps out right now that can either make your life easier, keep you busy, or just about anything else you want it to do. But now a developer called HeldHands is working on an app that will type what you think. This app, called Thought Process, requires special headphones that you use to connect to your phone. It takes your brain waves and analyzes its patterns to translate them into a language your phone can understand; allowing you to control your phone with your thoughts. The app, called Thought Process, works in the background to use your thoughts to execute commands like searching through different applications or calling your contacts hands free. Unfortunately there are several kinks to work out such as selective thought execution.

Many testers have been complaining about too many thoughts executing different commands on their phone thus resulting into unknown commands that the phone recognizes as emergency calls. Several police stations have been issuing complaints but once these issues are resolved. HeldHands is expected to make a breakthrough in thought and communications!
