Apparently there is a rumor floating around saying that Sony will be announcing PSN+ at E3 next month! PSN+ is a premium version of the PSN which will include a few extra features which seem to be very promising.

The features include:

• Cross-game chatting
• Access to rotating list of PSOne Classics and PSP Minis (hopefully included)
• Downloading some full retail games from demo titles
• Free PlayStation Protection Plan
• Cloud-based game saves

Based on the leaks, the pricing is speculated to be about $10/mo, which seems VERY steep compared to the Xbox Live's $50/yr! I'm sure to be able to compete with Xbox, they will have to come out with a yearly fee as well.

As Nintendo gets ready to launch their new hand held, the Nintendo 3DS, they are slashing prices on the Nintendo DSi. Nintendo has been the reigning champ with the highest hardware sales, but I bet you didn't know that they also hold the title for longest rock steady pricing. But as NDS sales drop, Nintendo Japan hoped that with this price cut it will revive the sales of the hand held giant. The price dropped from 189,000 yen to 150,000 yen, which is equivalent to 21%. Nintendo also said that they want to put a NDS in every household; which isn't that far fetched considering that they have 130 million sales and 30 million are in Japan alone. So for Nintendo to put a DS in every household in Japan, they just have 17 million more to go.

Treyarch, the company behind Call of Duty: World at War, is coming strong with their new title Call of Duty: Black Ops. They say that they have been focusing on the online aspect of this game because of the great success of Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2.

“We’re really focusing on socialisation and personalisation. We know that players want to play the game the way they want to play it and make it their own. Create-A-Class is an area that we’re giving as just one example of personalisation and how we’re really developing that system for anyone that’s familiar with it.
“In terms of socialisation, there’s a lot more to an FPS than just what happens within that eight-minute match. There’s plenty of things that happen when you’re in the lobby, when you go to work the next day. Personalisation and socialisation are two core aspects of multiplayer that we’re focusing on.

“The things that didn’t work in past Call Of Duties we’re going to make better or just do away with. Things that were popular have been kept and develop further.”

I can't wait, they better have something like Nazi Zombies, maybe Terrorist Aliens? whatever, I just hope its not a dissapointment like World at War.

Nintendo has added another sequel to the legendary Super Mario series. Super Mario Galaxy 2 comes out today and if you think this will be like the first one, you are wrong! I have to admit that when I saw this I instinctively thought that they would have re-used some of the content from the first one and stuck in into the sequel with a couple of minor tweaks. Super Mario Galaxy was already a jump from the orignial 2D platformer or even Super Mario 64. Of course all the familiar power-ups and friends are all around, so it is still Mario. This game will definitely be a hit.

Sega's mascot, the blue speed demon, Sonic is making a comeback in the new Sonic the Hedgehog 4. This game is supposed to continue from the old school Genesis versions of the game, so yes, that means good ol' 2D side scrolling action. Sega announced this game back in February and was planning to release it as soon as possible, but recently there was a blog post by Sega saying that they will be pushing the release date back to the second half of Summer 2010. Sega said that they "want to ensure that we’re delivering the best Sonic experience possible." Well summer is right around the corner and I cant wait. I love these continuations of the old school games like the Megaman series that continued on the PSN (Megaman 8 and Megaman 9). This game will be making its appearance on PS3, XBox, Wii, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

Your favorite yellow eating machine, Pac-Man, celebrates his 30th anniversary today. Google has a special surprise if you have not gone on it yet. Of course they have a cool looking banner because if you didn't notice they always change the Google banner. Since it is Pac-Man's 3oth anniversary they made a map that spells out "Google" that looks like the retro arcade game. The surprise is that if you leave it on the home page long enough, the game will start and you can actually play it. Another thing is, notice that the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button is replaced with "Insert Coin," if you click that you will unlock Ms. Pac-Man.
