New Phone Manuals

If you guys are like me, you don't really pay much attention to the user manual when you get a new phone. Unless there was something that i REALLY needed to figure out, I would never touch that thing. Why? Well, theres just so much to read and a lot of it is stupid trivial info that I already know or I don't need to know.

Designers Clara Gaggero, Adrian Westaway and Jaako Tuomivara came out with a creative and very practical way to guide people through the user's manual. The way they did it was by designing a new user manual which resembles a children's book. It has a cutout where the phone is and each page has diagrams and instructions of which buttons to push and what to do. Pretty neat! This will save time for customer service departments for many phone manufacturers.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 no Multitouch. REALLY?!

That would be correct everyone, the Xperia X10 will not have the multitouch functionality forever. This could be somewhat confusing for some people because, in the beginning this was already told because hardware wasnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t capable, however, after a while we also heard again that multitouch will be part of a software update in the future for X10. Then there was this SE Communication Manager Harold de Kort that broke all the rumor and dreams. He said:

Ã¢â‚¬Å“Multi-touch will not be a feature in future updates for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 because the device does not support multi-touch due to her software and hardware configuration. The operationÃ‚Â and user experience of the phone will be further improved and Sony Ericsson will come with her own intuitive way of, for example, zooming in and out.Ã¢â‚¬Â

So yeah, there will be no multitouch feature, X10 was a little exciting with the possibility of having multitouch. Now I would reconsider about it with all these new mobile phones out there with multitouch features and many more.

Xperia X10 Getting Android 2.1 in September?

There has been a rumor regarding a update for Xperia X10 from Mobiles.co.uk, they are reporting a rep for Sony said that theyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢d be releasing a Ã¢â‚¬Å“bigÃ¢â‚¬Â update during September. Android 2.1 update automatically comes into mind, however, this is still quite some time until September, and a lot of the other competitive phones have already received the update or getting it soon. At least this is great news to those who have purchased the X10 and are waiting for an update for the Android 2.1.

Sony to Create Playstation Phone

Sony has been in the process of developing mobile electronics and has recently stated to release a new Sony Playstation Phone. This new mobile device is said to download and also play Playstation games straight from the phone. It's also said to connect to the PS Store and transfer new content from Sony platforms. With the mobile market becoming so lucrative with its thousands of apps, it's only natural for Sony to join in and create their own concept. Sony is currently working with Ericsson to create and produce this phone to be released sometime this year.This new Sony phone will follow in some of the same principles of Apple by creating a iTunes type solution for users to gather all their content from.

Sony Ericsson Experia X10 multitouch issue

Sony Ericsson Experia X10 has been a big deal since release; but since the release the performance has not been that outstanding. Many feel that the Experia X10 has been very laggy in performance; the company on the other hand, has already promised and confirmed that upgrades including new Android OS will come soon. However, apparently the multitouch is not part of the deal, the product manager Rikard Skogberg said in the official company blog that itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s not just a software related issue, but hardware also. That is definitely some disappointing news, especially if you already purchased one of these phones.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Unlocked for $1000!!!!

That is right everyone, this Sony Ericsson X10 phone has not yet been available in the U.S. and wonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t be for a while. However, on Amazon.com there is a Unlocked version of Xperia X10 on sale for an outrageous price of $1000! There is almost no reason to purchase a unlocked phone for that amount of money, especially when phones such as Nexus One is around half that price. On the other hand, if youÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re really a big fan on this phone with a lot of cash in your pocket, and you also want one of this phone before anyone else that tries to get their hands on it, then you better hurry up to Amazon before its sold since there is only one available.

Nexus One and Sony Ericsson CEO

HereÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s something rather interesting to head, while the battle between the iPhone and Google Android goes on. Sony Ericsson has decided to put in some information on the new Google Nexus One. The Sony EricssonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s head CEO Bert Nordberg recently shared interesting news regarding the Google phone with Swedish publication Sydsvenskan. Bert said they were offered to build the Google phone Nexus One before HTC had the chance, and more importantly is they turned it down. Nordberg have stated that Sony Ericsson is going to stay committed to build their own brand devices and that subcontracting with anyone will only cause more problems like brand dilution. Well at least now we know Sony Ericsson will only be making their own brand of cell phones.

Verizon 4G for Everyone by the End of 2010

Verizon just announced today that they will be implementing their 4G network this year and is planning on completely switching over by the end of 2010. They recently tested the speeds of the 4g network and found that it is significantly faster than their 3G network. Verizon has been testing their 4G LTE network; testing took place in Boston and Seattle and they indicated that the network is capable of peak download speeds of 40 to 50 megabits per second (Mbps) and peak upload speeds of 20 to 25 Mbps. Compared to the test results of the Verizon 3G network, the numbers blew 3G right out of the waters. According to todayÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s press release from VerizonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s senior vice president and chief technical officer, Tony Melone:
